How To Deal With Uncle P – Stephanie Williams

Everyone wants to achieve their goals and I bet you want to as well.

I have been longing to be a bestselling author like John C.Maxwell and spread my message through my ink but one thing kept pressing me down.

Want to know what that is? Uncle P

For the longest time, I have been battling with uncle P. He kept stopping me from smashing those goals.

How can I become a bestselling author if I don’t write? How can I become a bestselling author if I don’t take action on my goals, fight with great passion for my dream?

Well, it is time to crush the head of uncle P and ride with uncle VICTORY.

𝙋𝙍𝙊𝘾𝙍𝘼𝙎𝙏𝙄𝙉𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉!

Procrastination is an opportunity’s natural assassin.” That opportunity to be better, to achieve your dreams, to become a mega superstar, to be a celebrated icon, to be an inspiration, Uncle P is determined to assassinate it but will you give him the chance?

“Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday and avoiding today.” “Procrastination has been called a thief—the thief of time. I wish it were no worse than a thief because it does more than a thief does by wasting the dreams of millions of people leaving them crippled with their ideas and weak in actions.

Uncle P is a thief of time and a waste of Destiny as well and I would not want you to give him a chance that is why I will be helping with the best strategies in dealing with UNCLE P.

𝘿𝙊 𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙎 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙉𝙀𝙓𝙏 𝙏𝙄𝙈𝙀 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙒𝘼𝙉𝙏 𝙏𝙊 𝘼𝘾𝙃𝙄𝙀𝙑𝙀 𝙔𝙊𝙐𝙍 𝙂𝙊𝘼𝙇 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝘾𝙍𝙐𝙎𝙃 𝙐𝙉𝘾𝙇𝙀 𝙋

1. 𝘽𝙀𝙇𝙄𝙀𝙑𝙀 𝙄𝙉 𝙔𝙊𝙐𝙍𝙎𝙀𝙇𝙁:  Listen, if the whole world does not believe in you, you may succeed but if you do not believe in yourself, you will never succeed. One of the tactics that uncle P uses is to cause you not to believe that you can do it. The lie and fear strategy.

I once never believed in myself to write well but not anymore. I thought that my writing was not good enough for others to read and that kept me down for so long.

I am so determined to crush uncle P and I have a strong belief that I can become a bestselling author if I do what is required,  write consistently, improve and keep learning. If you want to get better at anything , it starts with believing that you are good enough and the world wants to hear you. You get better by starting first and everything will follow.

Believing in yourself is the first strategy in dealing with uncle P. Show him who’s the boss!

2. 𝙒𝙍𝙄𝙏𝙀 𝙄𝙏 𝘿𝙊𝙒𝙉: Now that you believe that you can do whatever you want to do, you must write it down. Never make a mistake of holding onto your ideas in your memory. It will wipe out like vapour. It is said that the faintest pen is mightier than the memory.

Write the goal/vision, make it plain so that he that reads may run with it. Do you have any goals? Write it down, set the target, have a deadline for it, place it visible to you and read it aloud to yourself. This has helped me to write 3 books in the space of 3 months that have been launched.

Do not also forget the place of accountability. You can resolve to join an accountability group where you will be held accountable for your productivity and progress.

3. 𝙃𝘼𝙑𝙀 𝘼 𝙎𝙏𝙍𝙊𝙉𝙂 𝙒𝙃𝙔: There must be something to motivate you when times are very challenging. That is your WHY! What is your WHY? How big is it to crush uncle P?

It is said that what sponsors a thought will multiply that thought. In challenging times, your real intention or motive to carry out any task will be your aid. So, before you embark on any task, goal or dream, ask yourself why you are in the first place.

What is the motive for that dream and goal?

My biggest WHY is to leave a lasting legacy whilst making an impact through my ink. Destinies are tied to my message and I have a contribution to make. That only gives me a strong drive to keep writing. I know that no matter what, I must fulfill my destiny and it will not be by procrastinating or fear of failure.

What is your WHY? Is it strong enough?

4. 𝙍𝙐𝙉: I can also call this the action plan. What is your action plan because the secret of great successes is based on actions taken. When you have a goal to achieve, a dream to relentlessly pursue, you don’t inspect too much, you get up and start running with it.

When your WHY is so strong, uncle P has no defense no more and as you begin to run with it, commit it to the hands of God. The King’s work requires haste and the more you decide to wait for the perfect time, the more uncle P gets hold of you.

Dr. Linus OKORIE will always say, “If a man doesn’t have a purpose for waking up, sleep becomes interesting.” Without a goal to rise up to, procrastination begins to settle in.

5. 𝘾𝙀𝙇𝙀𝘽𝙍𝘼𝙏𝙀 𝙔𝙊𝙐𝙍𝙎𝙀𝙇𝙁: I remember the joy I felt when I was able to set a target to finish my book. I broke it down into bits so it can be achievable. Each day, I set a word target of 2000 words and sometimes, I smash even more because my WHY stares back at me as an accountability partner and the date of the launch draws closer.

When I finished it, the joy I had. I decided to get myself a drink, danced, watched a movie and was happy.

Each time you accomplish what you set for yourself, ensure you reward yourself for a job well done and don’t expect so much because progress is doing the most important and taking little steps in joy.

In conclusion, procrastination will not go on its own unless you devise strategies to eliminate it. You may not live to achieve all your goals if you do not deal with procrastination. There is a distinct difference between having goals and fulfilling these goals and this is where action comes in. The secret to dealing with procrastination is action – JUST DO IT.

If you follow these strategies set before you, uncle P will have no power over you. Trust you will be dealing with uncle P now and be in charge of your goals.
